Getco Company spent a year aggressively creating a comprehensive Marketing Plan and promoting Mastic Beach Village as a beachfront paradise that was affordable within 70 miles of Manhattan. With all that hard work, Mastic Beach Village was named the 2016 #2 most affordable beach town by Money Magazine.
With the aggressive Public Relations plan and their patented social media efforts to make the story go viral, Getco Company, the story was picked up by Time Magazine, Fortune, Forbes, Realty Trac, Trip Advisor, and the Wall Street Journal.
UPDATE: Unfortunately, because of poor management by the newly elected Board of Trustees, the village decided not to renew Getco Company's contract and the story was pushed out of the news cycle right at the peak of summer season effectively taking the wind out of the sails of the Village's Marketing Plan. In less than five months the community of Mastic beach decided to dissolve the Village government and return to the Town of Brookhaven.
